How to Maintain New and Used Car and Truck Tires in Tampa FL

In over-inflated tires, the tire center gets more worn while in under-inflated tires the tire edges get more worn. The way you drive your vehicle is also a factor in tire maintenance. Speeding has a negative effect on tire durability and results in more wear and tear. This is because high speeds generate high heat that is detrimental to rubber. Other harmful driving practices include panic stops, skids, fast starts and fast turns. Neither should you drive your vehicle on the edges of pavements, over curbs or over potholes and other impediments. They all wear out your tires faster and could actually damage them.
The tire’s load rating should be observed properly, too. This is specified by the manufacturer, as well. Not observing the load rating could result in overloading your tire which, in turn, could cause a dangerous blow out.
